Within the past month or so ... IRCVPS.COM has fallen from the realm of hosting companies. The owner of the company (Cycle) has not been seen or heard from. The server is down as is the website hosting. The Hosting account suspended for none payment. Clients are left with no answers and no one to turn to on the matter. The last activity from Cycle was months ago. Other VPS Hosting Providers are trying to pick up the pieces.... though I have not seen another provider offer the same kind of hosting that IRCVPS.COM did. The Channel #IRCVPS on Efnet is presently still being held with the bots loaned from the Shellreview Network. |

Some Shell Providers out there try shameful ways of advertising. On Irc Networks (Such as Efnet - where alot of companies host their online support channels) some companies have resorted to shameful spamming of their company. Some will make up a user and spam with that user and some will even use their own logins to spam their companies. One way of doing this is joining muliple channels spam their advertisement then part the channels. Usually the ad wont be their channel itself but a dummy channel with a WIN AN ACCOUNT deal. Sometimes its a former client pissed off with the company that will attempt to spam them to make them look bad. Either a client that was banned/removed for violating the TOS of that company. On Friday 1-8-2010 such a lame advertising ploy was used in reference to Logishells and a winashell channel promotion they are doing. |
